An assessment to identify short-term investments aimed at increasing product usability, value, and adoption.
Overview
The goal of this application assessment was to pinpoint key areas within compliance products that are best suited for targeted short-term investments intended to enhance usability, increase perceived value, and drive user adoption.
Objective of Assessment
Application Nomination
Applications were nominated by team leads for this assessment based on a combination of key factors to ensure the selection prioritized impactful areas for improvement. The criteria included the following

Application Performance: Consideration of system performance, including speed, stability, and reliability, particularly in high-traffic or business-critical use cases.
User Base and Adoption: The number of active users and the frequency of use, prioritizing applications that have a significant impact on daily operations or serve a wide user base.
Change Request Complexity: The level of effort and technical difficulty required to implement change requests, ensuring the feasibility of short-term improvements.
Application Complexity: The overall complexity of the application's architecture and functionality, including whether it supports basic features like case management only, or more advanced capabilities such as alert handling, reporting, or integrations with other systems.

User Feedback Surveys
Conducted a user satisfaction survey using the industry-standard PSSUQ questionnaire. The survey, sent to approximately 30 users, provided a baseline score reflecting current user satisfaction with the product.
Product Owner Discovery Interview
Held an in-depth interview with the Product Owner to assess the product’s purpose, current status, processes, technology, and background. This included conducting an Agile self-assessment to evaluate process maturity.
Product Usability Review
Performed a usability review of the product using heuristic evaluation methods. UX professionals applied a checklist-based scorecard to identify usability issues and provide a usability score.
